2 Thessalonians 3:6-18

 (2 Thessalonians 3:6-18)

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Paul is commanding. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. This means those who are lazy and hate to work and only make things. It can be said that they are not spiritually awakened. If you don't like working, don't eat. It is to speak to a person who is lazy in saving the spirit while saying that they are eating the Word of God. To those who walk without scale, Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. It is to eat the word of truth and wake up spiritually.

Therefore, it is said that the Apostle Paul himself set the example.

What he did was that he did not have the right, but that it was to imitate. As the apostle Paul set the example, he said, "Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us." By the way, there were those who made the Thessalonian Church rather lazy and did nothing but work. Paul tells them to leave, and the church members are not to have such people. So, the church members are asking them to be ashamed. However, Paul encourages the people of the Church to recommend not as enemies, but as brothers.

Then, those who should receive this counsel are those who do not need to work because of the wrong apocalypse. These are also mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12. The Lord's Second Coming is not waiting for a certain date and time like the end-time eschatologists. Even if you know the day when Jesus returns, if Jesus says, "I don't know you," it will have no meaning. So, you just wake up spiritually and do the Lord's will. Therefore, in the right relationship with the Lord, it is to wake up and prepare and live normally. It is not just to be self-serving while working diligently spiritually, but to reach the level of helping others.

There are those who make useless work. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. It is that there is no distinction from people in the world. Saints are those who are distinguished. But what does not fit Jesus' name is that they live without scale. Rather, they are dishonoring God in the name of saints.

Those who are distinguished are those who have been destroyed by God. That is, they died with Jesus Christ. If you try to do something, you become useless before God. Only as the Holy Spirit leads, we must go out.

In 1 Timothy 5:13, "And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. It is said to distinguish the true widow and to put them on the list of widows. The text is speaking to save the widow's list. If there is a widow, the first thing is to have relatives handle them. He said that a true widow is a person who always asks God for hope.

However, those who love the world are said to be alive but dead. Therefore, the Bible says to reject young widows. Regarding the widow who loves the world, it means "to learn to be lazy and go around the house, not only to be lazy, but also to make a deliberate argument, to make things, and to say something that we deserve."

What God wants is to repent and die with Jesus to come back, those who think they have to do something. So, by saying that we must repent every day and cleanse our sins with the blood of Jesus, we make the whole city noisy. It doesn't really say the core of salvation, and because it is based on the law, it does not help a true widow, but only a widow who enjoys the world. Those who make up the church's rebellion are drunken. The drunkards are lazy people who distort the word of God and try to kill the Spirit. Those who are going to leave. So, quietly, think about what went wrong.

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
